Lipo After Pregnancy

Three months after pregnancy is still pretty early in the bounce-back process. Pregnancy and childbirth are pretty hard on your body, and it takes some time to get back to normal. Waiting at least 6 months before any type of surgery is a good idea, just to give yourself more time to heal. During that time, see if exercising and diet make any impact on those last 10 pounds you’re not happy with.
Liposuction isn’t a solution for weight loss, but if you just want a better shape around your belly, then lipo can help sculpt that area. You should already be at your ideal weight for the best results.

Thank you for your question. I normally recommend waiting at least 6 months after giving birth to allow your adequate body time to recover.

In regards to the best treatment for you I would suggest a consultation with your doctor or a reputable surgeon in your area. All procedures (even non-invasive options) have advantages and disadvantages and it is always best to know your options. I wouldn’t recommend traditional liposuction but a more modern gentle alternative such as liquid liposuction or vaser liposuction. These types of liposuction have less downtime and can be performed under light sedation, so do not carry the risks associated with a general anesthetic.
