DHA shuts down Clinics due to violations

Another recent news that show how careful a consumer should be when opting for a clinic to undergo an aesthetic treatment. 4 Dubai clinics, a plastic surgery, an aesthetics, a dermatology and a day-care surgery centre were shut down by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) because of serious violations which affect the quality of service these clinics are offering.
The Acting Director of DHA, Dr Layla Al Marzouqi stated: “The four facilities have been temporarily shut down and have been fined for violations that they committed which directly compromise the quality of health services,” and added: “At the DHA, ensuring that health facilities adhere to health regulations is of vital importance to maintain the quality of health services provided to the public. We cannot compromise of that and therefore stringent action has been taken against the violators”.
The most important violations were about providing services that the clinics weren’t licensed to offer, violating several protocols, unlicensed medications and breached infection control measures.
DHA spotted these violations after random examinations to the four clinics. It becomes quite crucial how important it is for a consumer to conduct a thoroughresearch before opting for a clinic which one will trust in order to fullfill one’s aesthetic expectations!
