NY Plastic Surgeon suggests weight management for long lasting Liposuction benefits
This is not something new, or something we didn’t mention before here at LipoAdvisor.com (it is our no1 advice in how to maintain your liposuction benefits almost permanently): You need to keep your weight relatively stable after a liposuction treatment, in order to maintain your post lipo body appearance. A few weeks ago, Dr. Ajaka, our Expert Guest Doctor confirmed our advice and now Dr. Andrew Salzberg, a renowned Plastic surgeon that works with the New York Group for Plastic Surgery makes his own announcement which comes in agreement with what we suggest.
Dr. Salzberg comments: “Patients are thrilled when they see their improved body contour following liposuction, and frequently ask how long the results will last,” and adds “Liposuction results will last indefinitely, but calories consumed and not burned off will find a place to reside in the body as fat, so maintaining that trimmer physique requires keeping the weight off.”
This happens because though Liposuction removes fat cells from a specific area, if you consume more calories than you should and gain extra weight this will be accumulated in other areas where there are many fat cells, thus way ruining your body image. The good thing is this happens only if you gain an important amount of fat.
Dr Salzberg concludes “Liposuction is incredibly effective at removing deposits of stubborn fat a person can’t shed despite consistent efforts with dieting and exercise,” and adds “At the same time, liposuction should be viewed as an initial phase of body contouring that should be kept up or enhanced by maintaining or losing weight and exercising to hone body tone and musculature. Undertaking a liposuction procedure involves a degree of effort and expense, and patients owe it to themselves to keep up the body contour results they’ve achieved.”
