It was a tough decision to go for a blepharoplasty (I am afraid of surgeries, let alone those subtle ones!), but I couldn’t stand my dropping eyelids muddling my face in such a way. During consultation, we opted for both upper and lower blepharoplasty, to remove loose skin surrounding my eyes. I was also reassured that I wouldn’t encounter severe pain, and luckily, I found out they hadn’t lied to me, although the anesthesia injections did bother me substantially! Anyway, after the procedure, I had some irritation and discomfort, but the problem was revealed afterward: There is some scarring on the treated areas while the end result is not totally symmetrical… Surely, my eyelids are less droopy now, but, overall, I’m far from being satisfied. Let’s see if I will be able to have that fixed with a corrective operation.Jennifer Marsden
I am pleased – almost delighted! I had a post-operative check two days ago and I am informed that the improvements are already noticeable on my upper lid area. I know, it’s a bit early to be certain, especially when I still haven’t got rid of the sutures (which are a bit irritating, truth be told). There’s also some dryness and peeling, but all under control! I hope I will soon be able to have a more thorough look at my progress!

Having puffy eyelids is something you can’t fight with… working out (as I had done with my excess pounds)! So, I decided to confront the issue by having an eyelid surgery for the upper lids. It’s been two and a half weeks after the operation, reasonable itching and discomfort, but nothing too dramatic. I am eagerly waiting for the big results now…

It’s been almost a month since my blepharoplasty, which was (miraculously?) uncomplicated for me! My recuperation period was not the most pleasant time of my life, but it all seems to be sorting out now. Stitches have been removed, there is no bruising any more, numbness has eased off significantly, and finally my eyes are looking dapper and sparking, devoid of that sleepy look! On the other hand, I have to lubricate them in order to tackle dryness right after I wake up, but fortunately I can sleep without problems since the amount of skin removed was exactly the needed one! So, wish me luck for the rest of my healing!

I had eyelid surgery five days ago. It didn’t hurt me more than I could bear. Now I have some fluid accumulation, bruising and soreness, which I am told it’s gonna fade soon. The doctor has also gave me some “homework” (aka exercises for the lower lids) to do. Fortunately, I can sleep without being severely harassed. I am pretty confident that things will work out very quickly.

My eyelid surgery took place 3 months ago and I have to say that I am thrilled by the whole result! Apart from the painless – well, almost! – procedure, the difference in my facial look is now more than evident: My eyelids are now more vivid, as my surgeon literally redesigned them, removing that drooping tone, which had began to become worse as year were passing by. I am not sure that an eyelid surgery is appropriate for everyone, but in my case, it just worked nicely. Oh, and my recuperation period was also very limited; you see, I had the stitches removed a week after the operation, with little trouble, whereas bruising faded after about 10 days. Friends and relatives keep being astonished when they meet me for the first time. I feel truly relieved and cheerful!

I am now just three days post my eyelid operation. Wow, I can’t believe I actually did it! Anyway, the procedure was quick, quicker that I had imagined – or I just conceived it that way! Now, I obviously have some bruising and irritation, but I am convinced it will go away soon. Apparently, I also have some pain to encounter, and I’m currently trying to tackle it with paracetamol medication. Can’t wait to see the end result of my adventure!

I did a complete blepharoplasty, both for my upper and my lower lids. Swelling is starting to subside, except for the inner part of my eyes, which is giving me a hard time, every now and then. I believe the surgeon did a decent job removing the excess fat from my eyelids, at least from my lower lids. Maybe I wanted some more treatment for the upper lids too, but – hey! – a medical professional knows better. Let’s see where this operation will eventually get me.
