Board Certified Surgeon comments on the Boost of Lunchtime Procedures
Dr. Kevin Johnson, a board certified general Surgeon residing and working in Spokane, confirmed the turn of people interested in aesthetic improvement towards the direction of “lunchtime”, minimally invasive procedures! These procedures are usually non surgical with almost zero downtime.
Dr. Johnson reports: “I’ve definitely seen a surge and it has a lot to do with how effective these non-surgical treatments really are.” His statement comes in complete agreement with the ASAPS (American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) who reported a 10{f4e1575822752660c3387461b06f16047197db710b64f29e8565d582c3a8cd4f} boost of non surgical procedures while the surgical procedures had only an increase of 3{f4e1575822752660c3387461b06f16047197db710b64f29e8565d582c3a8cd4f}!
Among the patients that are interested in body contouring, liposuction is obviously among the most popular options. According to Dr. Johnson, the demand on non surgical liposuction alternatives is highly increased. The surgeon underlines the huge demand on the non surgical freeze-fat procedure called Coolsculpting (which came first in our Annual comparison of the most popular Non Surgical Liposuction Alternatives!
According to ASAPS the most popular among the “lunchtime” procedures is definitely Botox which, according to Dr. Johnson happens because patients want to avoid surgery! The surgeon also underlines a few other advantages of these lunchtime procedures: “These procedures cost a fraction of the price of surgery, and the downtime is far less,”
Finally Dr. Johnson comments on the debate “who should carry out such procedures”. While many spas offer these services, Dr Johnson strongly believes they should be performed only by experienced/licensed physicians! “A licensed doctor has training in anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, biochemistry, and so much more,” Dr. Johnson states and adds “You’re not likely to find that level of knowledge and experience at a spa or salon. Patients are safest in a doctor’s hands, and the results are worth it.”

Dr. Johnson’s opinion is very true. Lunchtime procedures are very helpful to the patients, save their time with minimal downtime. Yet still need and expert physician to preform such quick procedures accurately. Thanks for sharing your information with me.
