New Trend in Male Cosmetic Surgery: Scrotal Lift
Scrotal Lift or Scrotoplasty is a rather new craze in male plastic surgery, following general craze for aesthetic improvement of almost all parts of the body. This procedure is targeting the excess scrotal skin in order to give an improved appearance to the scrotum area. Its an op that takes a bit more than an hour. Such procedures were first done in cases of cancer patients, abnormalities and injuries. Yet the aesthetic improvement hype took advantage of such procedures for the shake of an even better appearance.
The spokerperson of BAAPS (British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons) and consultant plastic surgeon based on Cheshire, Dr. Gerard Lambe describes (in DailyMail) this boost in popularity of scrotoplasty: ‘The genital lift is a relatively new surgery but there’s been a steady increase in the number of men and women having genital surgery,’ and added ‘It’s a relatively straightforward thing to do, albeit in a sensitive area.’ He also noticed that this procedure is ideal to reverse the results of ageing in the specific area (most people that opt for that procedure are men over 50) and he spoke of it as the equal of breast surgery for men.
