Dr. Stafford Broumand, a New York Plastic surgeon spoke in favour of the potential of patient-focused consultations. Dr. Broumand strongly believes the consultation with his patients will play the most important role regarding the success of their collaboration. The patients’ questions, their needs and concerns, no matter if we refer to surgical or non surgical procedures, will be proved catalytic in order for the right procedure to be chosen and optimum results to be achieved!

Dr. Broumand also mentions that pre consultation research from the patient’s side is also valuable because this way the patient will have a clear image of the results he/she expects and thus he/she will ask the right questions and finally he will make it easier for the physician to locate the right technique!

Finally Dr. Broumand expressed his opinion regarding the Surgical/Non Surgical Procedures debate! And he is clear: Non surgical and Surgical procedures have major differences. For example, Liposuction (a surgical procedure) can’t be compared to Coolsculpting (probably the best non surgical procedure). Liposuction involves much more pain, a much bigger recovery period and the results are visible in the next 2 days, while Coolsculpting has zero downtime and maximum results can appear even 90 days after the procedures is done! The doctor should decide on the procedures that best fits the patient’s needs.

Dr. Broumand shows the right way and all possible patients should take into consideration his guidance! We need to underline that our our automated system that tells patients which liposuction technique is best for them, named LipoTool is based on the exact same principle: that the patients should have a clear image of what the expect and what they desire!
