Plastic Surgeon declared innocent for a collapsing nose case
We’ve published here many cases where a surgeon is accused for surgery gone bad. Many deaths (read this or this) and other cases where the results were rather catastrophic are presented here because we want to make quite clear that plastic surgery is not something one should opt for without first choosing maturely, responsibly. Yet its not always the fault on the surgeon. One such case came to light recently when one of the most prominent UK surgeons was declared innocent for accusations regarding a collapsed nose case. Dr. Shailesh Vadodaria, one of Britain’s leading cosmetic surgeons (a popularity that was built through many TV and magazines appearances) was accused for negligence in the case of Mijin Zahir, 27. Dr. Vadadoria has his own clinics in Harley Street & Edinburgh.
Dr. Vadodaria performed a nose surgery in order to achieve perfect face symmetry back in 2010 but the results were not as expected. Mrs. Zahir claimed the doctor left the left side of her nose with a flaw (kink) while at the same moment the internal cartilege were weakened and this brought a collapsion of the right side. This is why Mrs Zahir sued the surgeon for £100,000 in damages. Now, almost 6 years later, after a High Court Hearing, Neil Garnham, the Hight Court Judge turned down her claims announcing that she “has not established that there was negligence in the conduct of the surgery”.
This case once again highlights that such procedures are hiding many dangers (physical or psychological) so one should think responsibly before entering in such a field.
