Studies Show Laser Liposuction is Preferred over Tummy Tuck
For a long time, Tummy Tuck (read this for more info) has been the primary choice for women looking to have something done about the loose skin around their abdomen.
However, recent studies have shown that over 2000 patients grabbed the benefits of new collagen production after going through laser liposuction (more info on our detailed report). The result was revealed at the 38th Annual Meeting of Society of Interventional Radiology in New Orleans.
Collagen provides the skin with elasticity. With laser liposuction, collagen contracts leading to the tightening of the skin. This helps in taking care of loose skin issues.
With this benefit, many are now switching sides from the more invasive Tummy Tuck to laser liposuction.
Trevor Schmidt, Liposuction Specialist, said that most of his patients, who preferred Tummy Tuck previously, are now considering laser liposuction, as they are quite pleased with its outcome.
Another reason for not choosing Tummy Tuck is that it leaves behind large scars, which women obviously do not like. Again, it involves a long and hard recovery process. You might even need to take a break from your job for a couple of weeks following the procedure.
Schmidt said that his patients have left his office with a huge smile following laser liposuction.
Patient statistics at MyShape Lipo have revealed that more than 80 percent of patients have been able to rejoin work within a span of 3 days following laser liposuction procedure. Again, over 60 percent has reported to be in a good shape to go back to gym inside a couple of weeks post procedure.
Schmidt also said that with more people choosing laser liposuction over Tummy Tuck, he sees the latter’s demand decreasing significantly in the coming years.
