Now there are various types of medications that are used very commonly to treat gynecomastia out of which one of the most common medication which is usually used in older men is testosterone replacement. It is effective only for old age people. Another common medication which is a therapy called SERM (selective estrogen receptor modulator) is used to decrease the breast volume, but it does not completely remove all the breast tissue.

Many young men are suffering from this serious problem which further leads to disturbances in their behavior such as avoiding social gatherings, depression and much more.

There are various surgical facts related to the gynecomastia surgery and every man should know that. Basically, the primary motive of surgical treatment for this problem is to remove glandular tissues and contour the remaining fatty area so you can get better results after surgery with the proper masculine body. This type of surgery can be done in the form of liposuction which is a procedure to remove breast fat or with mastectomy, which is also a surgical procedure involving removal of tissue under the skin.

Mastectomy surgery is usually done using endoscopy, in which very small incisions are made and it also takes very less time to recover. Therefore, after the surgery if the tissue is still left, then you will be clearly able to feel that under the affected area. So it is very important for the surgeon to remove only a limited amount of tissue from the breast so that further contouring can look natural on the skin. In some special cases where drugs are not working on the patient’s body in reducing the size of enlarged breasts, then a reduction mammoplasty surgery is performed to achieve the desired results.

This whole procedure of surgery is conducted in a personalized manner and it can also be customized according to patient’s preferences. Doing these types of cosmetic surgeries is basically an art of contouring in a proper manner so that the patient can get satisfying and pleasing results.
