Zerona
Zerona (by Erchonia) is a low-level laser device designed for eliminating excess fat from several problem areas of the body. While the device is FDA approved, it seems that this approval does not include testing for its true performance.
How Does Zerona Work?
Zerona uses a series of cold laser treatments, utilizing the patented and clinically proven Low Level Laser technology to deliver its results. Each of the sessions takes under an hour with the laser being applied for no more than 40 minutes. The cold laser (at 635nm) permeates the skin and directs a focused beam at the fat in order to create fat cell membrane pores; afterwards, the body’s natural processes takes over so as to remove the fat (more info here)! This is how fat is finally removed in all Non Surgical Fat Removal Techniques. Zerona creates a transitory pore in the fat cell membranes so that the fatty substance in the cells can seep out of the ruptured membranes and more easily leave the body. While the fat cells are not injured (the rupture heals), they become much smaller (same effect takes place after i Lipo treatment). Usually, 6 sessions within 2 weeks’ time are enough for creating the wanted results.

Benefits
Unlike conventional surgical procedures like liposuction, the Zerona laser is able to deliver decent fat removal (by reducing a substantial number of fat cells under the skin) with almost no pain, no scars and minimal recovery time. Moreover, due to its non-invasive technology, there is no swelling or bruising after the procedure is performed. Zerona is also unique in that no device is used directly on your body.
Side Effects
There have not been reports on major side effects. In fact, and according to the company that created the device, Zerona is meant to be a relaxing, spa-like experience, in which a customer can simply unwind and listen to music or white noise or even catch up on phone calls with friends or read a book. Also, there is supposed to be no sensation during the procedure at all, and the laser does all the work without brining about pain, inflammation or discomfort.
Areas To Be Treated
The Zerona technology is capable of taking weight off from the waist, hips, thighs, buttocks, knees, arms and other small or larger body areas.
Zerona Cost
As stated by Realself.com, the typical cost for a Zerona treatment is quite affordable, at $1,925 average, although the total cost would depend on several variables, necessitating for a thorough research before you ultimately make your final choice.
Zerona Reviews
Zerona reviews are largely mixed, most of the negative reviews citing lack of efficacy as their reason for poor rating. There have been a considerable number of patients who experienced insufficient changes to their body while other failed to see any results at all. Yet, there are Zerona users who seem to be totally satisfied with their choice.

Our Advice
Considering all the above, it is quite difficult to be completely convinced about the efficacy of Zerona. In any case, the company states that the best candidates for the procedure are those who have a healthy diet and lifestyle and who are more or less at their goal weight, but are struggling to get rid of stubborn fat pockets in various areas of their body. Certainly though, candidates who have a lot of fat to lose should not expect to experience impressive results with this method.
Zerona may also be appropriate for you if you want to get a head start on your own lifestyle program to reduce your weight and need some motivation toward success. Unfortunately, you will still have to do most of the work on your own, and if you want to maintain your results, you will need to continue to follow a healthy diet and lifestyle. Finally, take into consideration that most candidates won’t see results until after 4-6 sessions, so it’s important to have that in mind as you are doing the sessions.
