Hi Clarence, Thank you for your question. Although blood loss from Tumescent Liposuction is relatively minor, as you suffer from anaemia this will need to be taken into consideration. Depending on the individual doctor performing your liposuction, they may request that you need to have seen and been cleared by your hematologist for surgery. As with anyone suffering with anemia, it is important to work out why it is present and your anemia should be worked up. Your general doctor, hematologist and also the doctor performing your liposuction will be able to advise you best on whether it is safe for you to have surgery by considering all factors including what the cause of the anemia is. The doctor performing your liposuction will also be able to discuss with you the treatment method they would recommend for your individual needs pending a review of your anaemia. Kindest regards, |
