ASAPS publishes stats for 2015 – ~14 Billions spent for Plastic Surgery
The prestigious American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) published their survey for 2015 and the results seem to be in agreement with the results of ASPS (American Society of Plastic Surgeons), though there are a few differences. Lets have a look on the interesting findings of ASAPS stats.
The total number of procedures that were carried out in 2015 were 12,792,377 which is much higher to these of 2014 (10,578,408). The diagram below shows the amount of surgical and non surgical procedures since 1997:
Its also crucial that Americans spent more than $13.5 billion in cosmetic procedure. According to ASAPS Liposuction is the most popular surgical procedure while breast augmentation comes second (the results where opposite in the stats of ASPS). As for the most popular non surgical procedure it was (not surprisingly at all) Botulinum Toxin followed by Hyaluronic Acid. In the diagram below you may see the Top 5 surgical and non surgical procedures. Liposuction was the most popular surgical cosmetic procedure for both men and women.People age between 35-50 opt for the 40.4{f4e1575822752660c3387461b06f16047197db710b64f29e8565d582c3a8cd4f} of the total number of cosmetic procedures.
These and many other interesting findings you may find in the complete article that describes the annual survey of ASAPS. As for the team of LipoAdvisow we feel its crucial to highlight how important it is that potential patients should choose consciously, responsibly rather than being prey of superficial desires to improve self esteem etc
