AACS Reinstitutes Facial Fellowship Programs
The American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS) recently announced the reestablishment of their Facial Fellowship Programs which is connected to the recent reinstitution of ABFCS (The American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery). What is the goal of such programs? To support qualified fellow candidates for their examinations for the facial cosmetic surgery board.
So from now on AACS is ready to accept applications so as to educate candidates by means of thorough training in two different fields: Facial Cosmetic Surgery and General Cosmetic Surgery. In order for a Fellowship Program Director to apply he/she must be Diplomate of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery as well as a current Fellow-level AACS member. More information on the prerequisites for both programs can be found here and here. More information regarding the applications can be acquired by contacting with Margaret Bengston at [email protected].
This is great news for both surgeons and possible patients, because such programs will supply physicians with useful training/experience in order to improve their potential in carrying out such procedures, which will clearly improve both the quality/efficiency and safety of the treatment.
