ASAPS Reports Increase in Non Surgical fat reduction procedures for 2014
It seems that 2014 is the year of Non Surgical Fat Reduction craze for USA! The stats revealed from ASAPS (American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) clearly show this trend! It’s the first year, according to the ASAPS report that more than 100.000 procedures took place during 2014 which is a 43{f4e1575822752660c3387461b06f16047197db710b64f29e8565d582c3a8cd4f} rise comparing to 2013! Another quite impressive fact is that we had a 86{f4e1575822752660c3387461b06f16047197db710b64f29e8565d582c3a8cd4f} boost in butt augmentation in only 12 months!
The president of ASAPS, Michael Edwards MD states the obvious, that non surgical fat reduction is getting extremely attractive because people can’t stand the pain of a surgery! His statement: “Nonsurgical fat reduction is a new frontier in the realm of cosmetic procedures. The rise in its popularity is indicative of the public’s desire for nonsurgical alternatives in lieu of their invasive counterparts. Due to the technological advancement and efficacy of nonsurgical fat reduction devices, it’s not surprising that more people are opting to freeze or melt away stubborn body fat in the comfort of their surgeon’s office as opposed to undergoing surgery; however it must be noted the results aren’t the same. Not everyone is a candidate for nonsurgical treatment as well. Many will still be better served from a surgical approach to include liposuction.”
As for the boost in buttock augmentation, it seems that the over-exposure of celebrities like Nikki Minaj has an influence in the popularity of the procedure for a second consecutive year! Another member of ASAPS, Dr Constantino Mendietta, MD states: “While a rounder, more curvaceous derriere has been in vogue for a number of years, celebrities like Nikki Minaj and Kim Kardashian have brought the attention to the rear to an all-time high influencing more women to undergo buttock augmentation to achieve the hourglass look.”
As for the complete statistic report of ASAPS for 2014, we should expect it during the next month (March 2015)!
