Dr. Sam Speron, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon spoke about the interesting statistic which shows that social media play a really crucial role in the increase of the demand for Plastic Surgery. Actually, according to Dr. Speron social media seem to be responsible for an 28% boost in Plastic Surgeries in his practice, during the last 4 months!
Dr. Speron believes that the demand on plastic surgery is significantly increased due to the fact that the social media (Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest etc) make people care much more about their appearance. So, the heavy engagement with online media brought much people to the plastic surgeons.. at the same moment the plastic surgeons recognize the potential of social media advertising so the invest on this type of advertisement! “We live in a very visual society. How you look in videos and photos have undeniably become a driver for most cosmetic procedures from Botox to facelifts,” states Dr. Speron and adds “Social media is here to stay. People want to look good in person but also online in photos and videos!”
At the same moment India Plastic Surgeons report a “Facebook Facelift” Craze.. people that are less than 30 opt for minor procedures that will correct/improve their appearance in order to make it easier for them to attract much more contacts!
