Hello!Today LipoAdvisor.com posted an article (https://www.lipoadvisor.com/law-firm-warns-about-potential-risks-of-dermal-fillers) regarding a report from a law firm regarding the side effects of Dermal Fillers.. was considering the possibility of Juvederm or Restylane.. the article wasn't mentioning a specific filler.. are such side effects common to all dermal fillers?

Hi Charles,

There can be potential side effects when undertaking any injections using Botox or dermal fillers. You can minimise potential risks by always consulting with a reputable doctor who has training in this specific field. Any injection can cause a bruise – minimising aspirins, fish oils or any medication that thins the blood can help to avoid bruising. Applying ice prior to the injection is also recommended.

I do not ever recommend semi permanent or permanent dermal fillers. I only work with fillers that can be dissolved in the event that potentially the product moves or the patient isn’t happy with the result. Permanent fillers do not have this option to be dissolved. Permanent fillers can have many complications and I have also seen severe allergic reactions to these products.

Sorry for the delay in my response and I hope my answer is helpful.

Have a great day,
Dr Ajaka
