• Is demand for noninvasive fat reduction treatment increasing/decreasing/remaining the same? Why?
Definitely there is an increase on the demand on non invasive options and the reason is quite simple! People want to avoid pain! A less important reason lies in the fact that usually these options are less expensive!
•What is influencing demand for noninvasive fat reduction systems? (competitive environment? patient demand?)
I think that the industry of the non invasive options is a child of people demand for less pain! Cosmetic surgery invovles so much pain! Everyone would avoid that! This gave birth to such a rapidly evolving market and when there is so much demand in a field the companies focus on that!
•When do you expect demand for these systems to peak–or has the market already reached saturation?
I can’t say for sure but i feel that there is a long way before this market reaches its peak!
Noninvasive Pricing and Physician and Patient Satisfaction
•On average, how many noninvasive fat reduction treatments does a physician do a month? Is this number increasing or decreasing in the past six months? Past year? What is the percentage of change? Why?
We read stories in a daily basis of Physicians reporting huge increase in the demand of non surgical options! The number is definitely increasing and the annual statistics of the organizations related to cosmetic treatments show the same! I am afraid i can’t say how many non invasive fat reduction treatments does a physician in a monthly basis
•Are physicians and patients satisfied with basic treatment pricing? Has pricing increased/decreased/remained the same during the past six months? Why?
I feel that non invasive is the best option in terms of value for money! So i guess that both sides are satisfied! I didn’t notice any important change in the pricing during the last months!
•Are patients satisfied with their results? Why/why not? Have you heard of any issues with uneven fat reduction? If yes, how was it corrected?
The results of such procedures are encouraging and most of the times the patient are satisfied! The reason for some complaints lies on the fact that patients overestimate the potential of a non surgical procedure! Uneven fat reduction is also a possibility that can be fixed by means of other procedures like fat transfer!

•Who are the leading competitors in the noninvasive fat reduction treatment systems?
It’s quite clear that Chromogenex’s I-Lipo and Zeltiq Coolsculpting are the leading brands!
•What are the strengths/weaknesses of CoolSculpting compared to the competition?
Coolsculpting has many advantages! It’s quite efficient option, its results are almost permanent if combined with a balanced diet! On the other hand it involves some pain/bruises/soreness which disappear pretty soon!
•How aggressive has the Zeltiq CoolSculpting sales force been in pursuing growth?
It’s amazing how effective is the Coolsculpting promotion! Everyday we learn about a new clinic that includes Coolsculpting in their services! In a matter of 24 months it became the No1 procedure in terms of Non Invasive Fat Reduction!
•Do you expect CoolSculpting to maintain its successful sales momentum over the next 6 to 12 months? Why/why not?
I believe they will achieve that! No competitor seems to be equally effective while the promotion of the brand works perfectly!
