New tragedy during butt augmentation surgery
One more case where cosmetic surgery went wrong came to light on May 14th. Heather Meadows, a mother of 2 died last Thursday during a liposuction/buttock augmentation surgery at a clinic in South Florida called Encore Plastic Surgery. The reason behind the drama was medical complications connected to the surgery.
The dead of Heather wasn’t enough reason for the clinic to close so the scheduled treatments were performed properly. Though no recent complaints exist there was also another case back in 2013 where a patient died after butt augmentation carried out by two doctors that were associated with Encore. And its not only that. A few other doctors that are connected (affiliated) with Encore Plastic Surgery had similar issues. One of them, Dr. Osakatukey Omulepu was restricted for being responsible for injuries to four women.
An acclaimed Miami surgeon, Dr. Jose Rodriguez-Feliz stated that many plastic surgery clinics in Florida are facing serious similar tragedies. The reason behind that, according to Dr. Rodriguez-Feliz is that these clinics allow any physician with medical license to perform such surgeries. This is a really serious claim and it should be investigated further.
