Alert! New Trend Detected: Eyebrows Transplants
A new trend is appearing in a daily basis when speaking of cosmetic surgery. That’s a doubtless truth! Check the latest news of LipoAdvisor and you will understand what we are talking about!
So we’ve learned about the jaws makeovers that make patients look like superheroes, the butt augmentation treatments that will give females the buttocks of J. Lo and all the facial cosmetic procedures that will gift you the ideal nose/lips/cheeks that even Angelina Jolie would be jealous of! It’s getting quite clear that cosmetic surgery seems to be able to cancel all limits. Now a new trend is (not surprisingly) evolving.. eyebrow transplants! Patients now are willing to pay the cost of car downpayment so as to fight against this really annoying (?) natural brow thinning that follows ageing!
Dr. Mark Dauer a Hair Restoration surgeon in Los Angeles claims: “There’s been a big increase recently in the popularity of this procedure as people are becoming aware that it exists,”!
Let’s say a few words about the procedure.. Eyebrows Transplants cost $4k-$8k and it takes less than 3 hours. First things first the surgeon numbs your neck and brow with local anesthesia, then inserts hair from the back of the scalp to your brow and obviously he trims them to be of the same length like the brow hairs. There are more good news.. don’t worry about a possible bald patch in your neck and also be sure you can appear in public the very next day! Dr. Ken Williams, another California hair restoration surgeon, says that it takes almost a week for your skin to fully recover! The results seem to be very encouraging while they effectively change the shape of brow but you need to be aware that the hair grafted from the back of the scalp are growing much longer comparing to the natural hair of eyebrow so you have to trim them, almost every week!
Dr. Dauer suggests that you shouldn’t opt for a surgeon for such procedure if he can’t prove his experience! Dr. Dauer states: “look for a surgeon who can show you at least 40 or 50 before-and-after photos of eyebrows you think look aesthetically pleasing before you even consider them,”!
Once again we need to highlight the fact that ageing is a natural process and we shouldn’t exaggerate when trying to revert its effects.. keeping a balance between our expectations for an attractive appearance, the normal ageing process and some sensibly chosen cosmetic procedures would probably be the ideal decision for all of us that worry so much about the effects of ageing!
