Over the years, buttocks augmentation (or fat transfer) has become increasingly popular among men and women alike. After all, the buttocks region has been the main focus of attention, discussion, and controversy for centuries. For most people, the buttocks area is the main focus of the human physique. Americans spend hours in the gym every week in order to achieve that “well-rounded” and more desirable look. When women try on a new pair of jeans, you’ll notice that they always take a quick look at the lower back side to make sure their designer jeans fit properly.

At Infini Phoenix Liposuction, we offer a safe and effective solution for those who aren’t naturally gifted with a shapely derriere.

Dr. William Hall speaks about Buttocks Augmentation

How Does Buttocks Augmentation Work?

Put simply, buttocks augmentation is a surgical procedure involving shaping of the buttocks. The surgery typically involves a non-invasive liposuction procedure where the surgeon transfers fat transfer from one area of the body to another, giving your buttocks a firmer, more natural look.

During the procedure, Dr. William Hall uses liposuction to remove fat, which in turn is re-injected back into the buttocks area for reshaping. Using a layering method, the doctor creates smoother, more rounded buttocks with no irregular places showing through the skin.

This process is fairly sophisticated and requires a surgeon who is highly specialized in the technique. Dr. Hall is the founder and medical director of Infini Phoenix Liposuction, a clinic that focuses mainly on cosmetic liposuction.

What are Some of the Benefits of Buttocks Augmentation?

The most important and obvious benefit you can receive a more natural appearance, and more self confidence. As the newly sculpted buttocks use fat from your own body, you get the result you want. Your body accepts the tissue readily and there is no chance of rejecting your own tissue. In addition, smaller incisions in the buttocks area result in almost no visible scarring. You should also experience a much shorter healing time as compared to buttocks implant surgery.

Aside from the aesthetic benefits of the surgery, patients also report additional benefits, such as softer skin consistency, less scarring and discomfort, and a more natural and look and feel.

Here’s how one patient puts it: “It’s incredible when we consider the possibility of turning love-handles and unwanted fat into a desirable butt or adding definition and volume to someone’s butt to look more like bootylicious.”

Frequently Asked Questions

The following are some of the questions our patients typically ask about the surgery.

How long does it take to recover from the surgery?

Although each case varies, the average patient can return to work within a few days. After surgery, you’ll receive a list of instructions for hygiene and care. You will also be required to wear an ACE bandage-like body-garment for 7-14 days after the surgery to add support to the area. Since it’s a less-invasive technique, there are no prosthetics or implants. In addition, the procedure doesn’t leave scars. There is very little pain involved, and the small incisions typically heal within a few days

Can fat re-absorption or “dying off” occur after the procedure?

Re-absorption or “dying off” occurs in all cases after fat grafting. Although we can’t make fat re-absorption go away permanently, we can greatly reduce how much it occurs. Dr. Hall uses an advanced method of washing and separating the fat from all other cells so that whole stem cells are injected into the buttocks area.

As a result, we typically get 60-70% survival rates of our transferred fat, greatly increasing your chance of a successful procedure. In essence, the fat you have remaining after three months will become permanent.

What are the risks of buttocks augmentation?

The risks are very low with fat transfer surgery.

Do the buttocks feel natural to the touch after surgery?

The outcome, appeal, and feel are very natural after fat transfer. All our patients report that friends, family, and significant others would never even guess they had any surgical help at all.

What should be expected after swelling subsides?

Healing is rapid and the scars disappear in a short amount of time. Patients are also left with natural, fuller bottoms.

Will there be any numbness as a result of the procedure?

Once the swelling subsides, any numb sensation will go away, and normal sensation will return.

How soon can you return to athletic activities?

You should allow yourself at least three weeks to heal and for the body to acclimate to the surgery. Resume activity in small increments as you feel more comfortable with activity. For example, start out with walking and light exercise, and then slowly get back to your normal workout routine.
