Can Liposuction tackle the effects of genetic predispositions?

Dr. Mytien Goldberg, a renowned board certified plastic surgeon, recently wrote an article about the potential of liposuction against genetic predispositions. Dr. Goldberg refers to the million of people who carry genetic predispositions that lead to fat accumulation in specific body areas. For those people exercise and diet can remove the extra fat from these specific areas which is a really frustrating situation!

Dr. Goldberg claims that Liposuction, a relatively minimally invasive procedure (we have described it in depth here) can efficiently remove these fat bulges by removing fat cells. This way the excess of fat cells that were genetically inherited to you (which is pretty common in large hips or thighs, flabby arms etc) is removed and the much anticipated body contouring is evitable and it is not temporary.

Dr. Goldberg comments: “Liposuction is a procedure that uses suction to remove fatty tissue from beneath the skin. Your plastic surgeon will make very small incisions in the skin to access the problem area, then a cannula will be inserted through those incisions, which is attached to a suction device, to remove unwanted fat. Since this process reduces the number of fat cells in a problem area, the enhanced contour and appearance that is achieved by the procedure is generally a permanent one.”

If you ask us, we can’t agree more with Dr. Goldberg! It’s all about mechanics. When diet and exercise can’t remove fat cells, liposuction offers the solution of destroying and eliminating them via suction! This way all the topical, stubborn fat accumulations can be eradicated no matter if your genetic inheritance “gifted” you with huge hips or waistline!
