Post workout Pain after Tummy Tuck?« Back to Previous Page

Hello Dr Ajaka! I am totally desperate! Actually i had a TT, almost 50 days ago! During the last week i had being going to gym for mild work outs, while i was feeling pretty fine! I avoided abs and had only light weightlifting! Then yesterday, after having almost 40 minutes of workouts (also had 10 minutes of biking), i felt severe pain on the right side of my belly! The things got even worse while i hardly walk! I took a few painkillers that relieved me for a while but that was temporary! I am afraid of a second surgery. Do you feel there is a huge problem here? Any suggestions on what is going on? What are the next step i should follow? Should i speak to my Plastic surgeon (he is hundreds kms away)? Are there any exams i should have in order to find what exactly happens??

Hi Mina,

I’m sorry to hear you are feeling so unwell. In a situation like this I would recommend that you listen to what your body is telling you. My advice is to contact your plastic surgeon and discuss what has happened. You may also want to detail it in an email and then the surgeon can call you to go over everything with you. In the meantime I would recommend that you go and see your local doctor/ general practitioner.

I hope you start to feel better and always listen to what your body is telling you post surgery and don’t push yourself too hard.
