Paying for Tummy Tuck Revision?« Back to Previous Page

Thanks for the opportunity to ask my question! Actually i am so much anxious about that issue! I had full tummy tuck with results that (to my opinion) are close to awful! So I have no choice but suffer a second, revision surgery! The thing is I am supposed to pay extra fees for anesthesiology and hospital, for this second surgery. If you ask me it doesn't make sense why I should pay for them! Actually I am the one that will suffer a second surgery, with its pain, downtime (which will cost me even more) and probably a painfull recovery period. And I am not sure the second surgery will even provide the results I was dreaming of! Shouldn't I get exactly what I payed for without spending even an extra cent? Is there something I can do? Am I absurd? I really need your opinion! Finally I wonder if it is not a good idea to give this plastic surgeon approval for having a second surgery on me? Thanks in advance Katrin

Hi Katrin,

Thank you for your question. With any surgery, be it the first procedure or any revision that is required, it is important to have realistic expectations and to discuss your expectations with your doctor. I would recommend you have a consultation with your doctor and take in the list of questions that you have.

Having a clear list of questions ensures that you can both discuss all the points that you have raised and this will help make sure nothing is missed. If you aren’t feeling comfortable or feel you may have more questions, you can organise a consultation with another doctor for a second opinion.

Kind regards,
Dr Ajaka
